John 14:26 (NKJV)

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

God is a loving Father and knows what we need. Out of God’s love, God has given us the Holy Spirit. From John 14:26 we see that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things. For example, the Holy Spirit teaches us the truth about God. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to live this life as a follower of Jesus Christ. Just to name a few.

A simple fact of life is that we will face challenges. Challenges have the potential to make us doubt the truth we know about God. Where we question God’s love and faithfulness, for example. But no matter how hard life’s challenges press in on us, we must continue to yield to the Holy Spirit’s leading. As we yield, we can be empowered to see challenges as opportunities to experience more of God.

Consider the following:

First, challenges are opportunities to experience God’s love as He walks alongside us. Joshua 1:9 (NKJV) states: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Challenges are not easy to endure. They test our patience, and with it, our ability to depend and rely on God. When our minds are fixed on the truth that God is always with us, we can walk through our challenges confident that we are not alone.

And second, challenges are opportunities to experience how God loves us more than anyone ever could or ever would. John 3:16 (NKJV) states: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. And Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV) states: For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. From John 3:16 and Romans 8:38-39 we see how God lavishes His love on us. Not only did God give us His best, His only begotten Son to die for us, but nothing we go through can separate us from the love of God.

On good days, know that God’s love toward us is immeasurable, and that God’s love toward us endures forever. And on bad days, know that God’s love toward us is immeasurable, and that God’s love toward us endures forever.

No matter the day, good or bad, God loves us.

Psalm 100:4-5 (NKJV) states: Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
